Tickets for this year’s OggCamp are now available. Grab one while you can, they’re already going fast!
If you’ve not heard of OggCamp before, it’s the UK biggest free software and free culture event: Two days of geekery, coolness and fun (in various proportions). It’s being held on the 19th and 20th of October at the LJMU Art & Design Academy in Liverpool, a fantastic venue with great facilities. There will be social events before, during and after OggCamp too, starting with a Friday night at the very cool LEAF bar.
As ever the tickets are free. One ticket gets you in to both days of the event and the social events. But this year we’ve introduced something new: If you want to help contribute towards the running costs of the event by paying a little bit for a ticket, you can do. OggCamp remains an event run by unpaid volunteers, and paying for a ticket doesn’t get you any preferential treatment. Except maybe a big smile from us.
There’s no official hotel for this year’s event, but there are lots of suggestions on the website at various prices.
If you’re still not sure whether OggCamp is for you, check out this great documentary that was made at last year’s event:
