Alan has just released the latest episode of the Ubuntu Podcast from the UK LoCo. This episode is a bit special for a number of reasons:
- It’s our Christmas episode. I like our Christmas episodes. As well as making typically wildly inaccurate predictions for the coming twelve months, last year we had a special Ubuntu-centric version of “The Night Before Christmas.” This year, we’ve upped the ante with a special Ubuntu pantomime, “Jack and the Beanstalk”. How can a classic panto relate to everyone’s favourite OS? Can podcast presenters do a sufficient range of silly voices? You’ll have to listen and find out!
- It’s Ciemon‘s last episode as a regular presenter. Ciemon was one of the “original four” presenters but has decided to step down to pursue other interests. I enjoyed Ciemon as a presenter on the show, he always brought a fresh perspective and brought us down to earth with a resounding bump if we got too high-falutin’! He’s promised not to be a stranger though, so hopefully we’ll hear from him before too long!
- It’s the last episode of Season 3. We’ve done three full years of this show now and this year has seen the show continue to grow. We’ve got a solid format and a great regular audience. But it’s hard work and I really look forward to the couple of months we get off a year, particularly spending time with friends and family over Christmas (and no LugRadio Live videos to do this year either. 😉 ) We’ve already started throwing around ideas for next season though…
For all those reasons, you should go and download it now.
